History
Business & Scientific Services Ltd (BSS) is an IT
supplier based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. BSS began trading in
January 1985 and specialises in the supply and support of hardware
and software to local Government, Councils and medium to large companies
throughout the province.
BSS were the first Toshiba direct dealer in the province and are still
the main dealer with a certified notebook service centre. We remain in
the unique market position of enjoying direct contractual relationships
with both Toshiba and HP.
The company continued to grow impressively since its inception and in
1996 BSS opened a second office in Clondalkin, Co. Dublin. The Dublin
branch offers a wide range of products and services to our customers in
the south of Ireland.
Fast forward to the present day and BSS is one of only two local IT
companies in Northern Ireland accredited by Microsoft as a Large Account
Reseller (LAR). This means that we can provide both Select and Open
licensing options to our customers. Our other direct relationships include Microsoft, APC, IBM, Expand Networks,
Network Physics and Trapeze Networks. |

ensuring all our dealings are carried out with integrity.
If we say we are going to do something we will move mountains to make
sure it happens. We continually measure what we do and use these
measures to develop new ways to improve service levels.

though, we consider our people to be our most prized asset.
Our consultants are trained to have a broad range of skills rather than
just specialising in one particular field. This means that one of our
team can often deliver what would require a number of different
specialists from another supplier. We are in the enviable position of
having Microsoft, HP, Toshiba and Lotus
Certified Professionals amongst our ranks.
